Georgia sits atop the first CFP rankings

Georgia sits atop the first initial rankings as the college football playoff rankings were announced on Tuesday night. Alabama followed, along with Michigan St, Oregon.
Biggest surprise to me was Oklahoma at No.8 also behind Michigan St and Oregon were Cincinnati and Ohio St. Michigan as well.
Cincinnati who’s looking to be the first P5 to make the field did not make the cut in the top 4. Cincinnati’s strength of schedule and subpar wins against Tulane and Navy are the negative being their ranking.
The other big surprise was Mississippi St at NO.17 while this is surprising, Mississippi St also has wins against No.14 Texas A&M, No.18 Kentucky and No.19 NC St.
