After starting the season 4-0, the Razorbacks have now lost three in a row including losses against SEC West rivals Ole Miss and Auburn. They will look to get back on track against a far-inferior Arkansas Pine-Bluff team.
Arkansas is coming off a week in which they lost their sixth straight against Auburn. Left tackle Myron Cunningham commented on the mood of the team after the game, saying, “It was upsetting. They came out there and wanted to win more than us today and they showed it.” The defense settled in, but not before giving up explosive plays early that allowed Auburn to get out in front and get into their rushing attack.
The Razorbacks are shorthanded on defense right now after losing Jalen Catalon for the year. Players like Myles Slusher are going to have to step up for this team if they want to get back on track. Bumper Pool didn’t make excuses though, and also expressed his confidence in players like Slusher who were forced to fill in.

I don’t imagine Arkansas will have much trouble offensively, as the Golden Lions are giving up a staggering 32 points and 421 yards per game. They play a 3-4 scheme most of the time, which should allow Arkansas to move down the field in the run game. The AR-PB linebackers are extremely fast and athletic though, so I don’t suspect we will see much out of the screen game from KJ and crew.
Offensively for the Pine-Bluff, Quarterback Skylar Perry is completing just 45% of his passes on the year and has only thrown for 2 touchdowns while throwing 2 interceptions. Perry is quite fast, so that is one thing that the Arkansas defense will have to account for. He has rushed for 157 yards on the year.
