Tide wash away Gators in the Swamp

The #1 Alabama Crimson Tide are 1-0 in SEC play thanks to an outstanding first Quarter performance on Saturday.

Alabama received the ball and drove right down the field and scored on a 7 yard TD pass from Bryce Young to Jase McClellan.

Florida would drive the ball well themselves but the Alabama D stood tall forcing the Gators to take the field goal.

Alabama offense stayed hot on the next possession that would end with Bryce Young finding Tight End Jahleel Billingsley for a 26 yard touchdown.

After forcing the Gators to put Alabama would strike again this time on the ground as Brian Robinson punched it in from 7 yards out to extend the lead to 21-3.

Alabama would get an interception on the next drive courtesy of Jalen Armour-Davis but for the first time all game Florida’s D held firm forcing the Tide to punt.

Florida would capitalize on the Bama punt with a drive of their own capped off with a Milak Davis 26 yard touchdown run to cut it to 21-9 after the missed PAT. After both teams traded defensive stops this would be your score at the break.

The Gators would receive the ball to start the second half and they marched right down the field and scored on a Dameon Pierce 3 yard touchdown to cut the lead to 21-16

Alabama would answer back with a drive of their on however capped off by a Brian Robinson 3 yard run to put Bama back up by 12.

The offensive show would continue when Florida got the ball back with a drive of their own ended with an Emory Jones touchdown of 5 yards to make it 28-23 Bama

On the next Alabama possession things would start to get a little crazy, Alabama got the ball to the 1 yard line and lined up to go for it on a 4th and goal from the 1. However, a false start would force Bama to take the field goal making it 31-23.

Florida would get the ball back with 9:25 to go in the game and with 3:10 to go punched it in on a Dameon Pierce touchdown. Florida would go for two to try and tie the game but the Alabama Defense stood tall and for the stop leaving the score at 31-29.

Alabama would then get the ball back and after a first down was able to drain the clock all the way to 10 seconds to go giving the Gators only 4 seconds to work with after the Bama punt.

Florida would not be able to do anything in one play and Bama held on to win 31-29 in the Swamp in a wild game.
