LSU claws past McNeese

After last week’s disappointing loss to UCLA, the Tigers were able to bounce back with a win over McNeese State, 34-7. Though the Tigers held the Cowboys scoreless until the 4th quarter, the LSU offense still seemed to sputter as they were only able to put up 305 total yards of offense against their Southland Conference opponent.

However, the LSU defense performed well and showed many signs of improvement over the past week. This performance though will not be enough to calm the nerves of the Tiger faithful who are worried that last season’s problems have carried over into this season.

A lot will be going on this week in Baton Rouge as LSU tries to right the ship and put a performance together that matches the talent on the roster. They get another game in Baton Rouge this week as they welcome the Central Michigan Chippewas to town for a night game in Tiger Stadium.
