All the Information You Need to Bet Successfully on Georgia v. Clemson

Betting on Saturday night’s game? We’ve got all the lines and spreads your little heart could desire.

The consensus spread for Saturday’s Georgia v. Clemson matchup has Clemson as a 3.5 point favorite as of Tuesday, August 31st at 9:40 am, which is when I’ve finished my grueling 8 am class and finally sat down to write this.

The consensus Moneyline currently has Georgia at +146 and Clemson at -171. The over/under opened at 52.5 but has dropped to 51.5 as we have grown closer to gameday.

Heisman Candidates on Display

D.J. Uiagalelei and J.T. Daniels highlight this top-tier matchup and are neck and neck in Heisman odds according to VegasInsider. D.J. currently sits at +1100 while J.T. is at +1000. The next best odds come from George Pickens, who won’t be playing in Saturday’s game due to a torn ACL in spring practice, and Zamir White. Both of them sit at +10000 going into the start of the season.

Matchup Preview and Gametime

Depending on who you ask, both of these programs can be considered to be tier-one programs. Both have had recent national championship appearances, with Georgia’s last coming in 2018 and Clemson’s in 2019. Clemson, though, has reached the top of the mountain, whereas Georgia is still looking for its first National Championship in over 40 years.

Clemson went 10-2 last season, with their season ending at the hands of the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Sugar Bowl Playoff Semi-Final. That loss concluded the Trevor Lawerence Era, as he entered the NFL draft and eventually became the No. 1 overall pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars. D.J. Uiagalelei has been named the starter after he showed off his arm against Notre Dame when Lawerence was sidelined due to COVID protocols. D.J. went 29/44, throwing for 439 yards, and two touchdowns.

Georgia went 8-2, with losses to Florida and Alabama, and defeated Cincinnati 24-21 in the Peach Bowl. QB J.T. Daniels took over the team for the last four games of the season and showed exactly what he could bring to the Bulldogs offense and more specifically, the passing game. Georgia will likely be down some star players for their game against Clemson, with WR George Pickens not available and TE Arik Gilbert not being with the team. Along with those, Georgia is doubtful to have TE Darnell Washington and DB Tykee Smith. A full injury report can be found at Dawgnation.com.

The Bulldogs and Tigers will kick off from Charlotte, NC on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 7:30 pm on ABC.
